Dr. Felicia Y. Coverson is an accomplished human resources and organizational leadership professional, retired United States Army officer, educator, and entrepreneur with more than 24 years of military service and extensive experience in human resources management, leadership development, workforce training, and organizational effectiveness.
As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FC Leadership & Talent Management Solutions LLC, Dr. Coverson is committed to helping businesses strengthen their leadership capabilities, develop high-performing employees, improve talent retention, and achieve sustainable organizational success.
Dr. Coverson proudly served more than 24 years in the United States Army, progressing through the enlisted ranks from Private (E-1) to Sergeant First Class (E-7) before earning a commission as an officer and ultimately retiring at the rank of Captain. Throughout her military career, she held numerous human resources, leadership, instructional, and organizational management positions — including Drill Sergeant, military instructor, course writer, curriculum developer, and human resources leader.
She also provided professional instruction and leadership development to military personnel, including students attending Warrant Officer Basic and Advanced Courses. These experiences strengthened her expertise in developing leaders, managing workforce performance, delivering structured training programs, and preparing individuals for positions of increased responsibility.
Dr. Coverson earned her Doctor of Business Administration from Walden University, specializing in Human Resource Management. Her doctoral research — Talent Management Strategies for Employee Retention and Business Effectiveness in Small-to-Medium-Sized Businesses — examined strategies organizational leaders use to retain employees and strengthen business performance.
In addition to her military career, Dr. Coverson has continued supporting organizational operations through human resources systems integration, workforce technology, employee training, and professional development. She brings a unique combination of strategic leadership, technical expertise, instructional experience, and business knowledge to her consulting practice.
